New Name, Same Festival

We are changing our name, slowly.  Back in 2001 and 2002, our group was called Triangle Pagan Pride Day.  In 2003 we realized that, unless you actually lived in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area, that didn't really mean much, let alone for anyone living outside North Carolina.  We changed the name to Central NC Pagan Pride, and have kept it that way for 10 years.

The problem is, "Central NC" actually falls somewhere between Raleigh and Charlotte, so it's not really the best description for our event.  Also, it is a really large area to claim and might discourage other events, and we hope more events will be starting up in North Carolina over the next few years.  So, we decided to change it...

We toyed with "Raleigh/Durham" and other combo names, and even discussed bringing back "Triangle", but the event has been in Raleigh for 12 straight years, so the obvious name was staring us in the face, Pagan Pride Raleigh.  To help with the transition, all the old domain names will keep working for a long time, so you can still find us at:

     CNCPPD.org

However, the best place to find us is our new primary domain:  PaganPrideRaleigh.org

Also, most of our promotional materials, signs and websites will show the new name and the old name for a year or two, giving everyone time to get used to the new name.

See you at Pagan Pride Raleigh (a.k.a. Central NC Pagan Pride) in September!
